Merdeka

Selamat Hari Merdeka to Malaysians everywhere.

God. I miss home (and nasi lemak, char kueh teow, biryani at Insaf, nasi kandar penang, lobak, mee goreng mamak, wan tan mee, nasi paprik.....).

Sniff.

Happy to you! I still have never had Char Kueh teow - available in London? any places to recommend?

Don't you miss the heavy cleansing rainstorms, lush greenery, well-manicured road medians, diversity of people and culture, the many many public holidays, vibrant pasar malams and late night shopping at hypermarkets, etc...

Ewok: Next week?

30in2005: Now isnt that an excuse to meet up? There are a few decent ones. Havent tried it in Mawar but the restaurant in Holiday Villa Hotel in Bayswater is pretty okay.

Kat: All that and more, Malaysia tanah airku (say that in falsetto).
